This refreshing and mineral driven Cremant is both elegant and well rounded. Creamy on the mid palate with lemon and apple fruit, but ends with a lovely mineral finish. Great Value!
More than 300 years later, the wine domain extends over 70 hectares including 40 in Alsace. The perfect balance between the yesteryears and today that shows in the wine. That same balance passed on to the new generation, that take up the torch of the elders with the same love for typical products. Traditional fermentation with temperature control, followed by a 9-month aging in Bordeaux barrels. Traditional method, with a long, gentle bubbling process, followed by 12 months aging on slats. This extra-brut Crémant d’Alsace (Pinot Blanc & Auxerrois) is brut zero dosage.
Ruhlmann Crémant Extra Brut is a refined aperitif, its freshness and character will also enhance a multitude of meals. The vines are planted on plains and semi-slopes, on an alluvial soil, which filters the water while retaining the heat. An elegant effervescence with very fine persistent bubbles characterizes this Crémant. With a fresh attack, it presents in the mouth the balance of a very "winy" wine, and is very persistent.
Wine Enthusiast said "Richer notes of cream signal rounded richness: indeed the palate is creamy and mellow, with hints of lemon and baked apple. There even is something nutty around the edges of this elegant rounded wine which is nonetheless light-bodied and fresh. The dry finish is reassuringly long."
