John Gilman

93 Points, John Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2021 Feusselottes is another fine premier cru in the making chez Méo. The nose offers up a fine combination of red and black cherries, plums, raw cocoa, pigeon, mustard seed, a touch of sweet stem tones and cedar. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and shows off lovely depth in the mid-palate, with tangy acids, fine focus and grip, ripe tannins and a long, well balanced and complex finish. Fine juice. 2033-2075+." 12/22

Decanter

93 Points, Charles Curtis MW, Decanter: "The lush, ripe blackberry/plum fruit is delightfully forward and nuanced on the initial attack with notes of earth and smoke. The texture is dense but not overly tannic, with an almost plum weight that still carries the wine to a lovely finish. The grapes are purchased from a plot of old vines in Feusselottes and destemmed prior to fermentation on native yeasts. The wine is ageing at present in cask – this should drink well young but is also capable of at least mid-term ageing. (Drink between 2025-2045)" 11/22

Other

92-94 Points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy: "Good colour and a fresher energy than is sometimes the case with Feusselottes. Some later ripening vines here says Jean-Nicolas. Lovely through the middle, slightly drier afterwards, not quite as persistent as the excellent Cras. Drink from 2026-2032." 11/22
