Country: US
Region: Napa
Grape: 100% Cabernet Franc
93 points Decanter
This wine is a tremendous value, a savoury and sophisticated Cabernet Franc for under $30. This wine's complexity makes a mockery of many wines 3x the price—gorgeous aromatics of clove, baking chocolate, Mediterranean scrub and racy blackberry. The lean palate shows great tension as it introduces blue fruits, savoury herbs and crushed stone minerality—a delicious delight. (CP) (7/2023)

This is very racy and focused with precision. Medium body with fine linear tannins that give the wine definition. Blackberry, dark chocolate, gingerbread, and cedar. Drink now or hold. (7/2023)
Robert Parker writes: "This winery has been long practicing with Cabernet Franc and was one of the first to bottle 100% Cabernet Franc from a vineyard in Napa. They use a Loire Valley clone and source it from the Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard, which some readers may be familiar with as a source for some of the great red wines being made by Russell Bevan."
